Well, my memories are as such:

    I remember the day when I learned about BBS. My brother told me to go onto different BBS's to find friends. He said to me, "Make sure you change your password on each one so no one can try to pose as you." Well, I thought he told me to change my name on all of them, so I eventually got onto Strawberry Fields and entered my name as Unknown, because I had no idea what else to call me. So, it stuck. I found out later what he really meant. lol I remember almost all the guys trying to get me to talk dirty to them. There were the select few who had a major attitude attack, daily. I don't remember their names anymore, but anyone who was on Strawberry Fields knows who they are. [Sylvestre Matuska <sp> maybe? -Dan] They were two little 15 year old boys who thought they knew it all and by now probably still think they do. lol
    I found out about smiley's and emoticons. Taglines were the best. Some hated them, some liked them, I loved them. Especially Dan's, they were all Beatles related. If you don't know who the Beatles are, then you don't know Dan very well. lol I remember meeting a bunch of people from Strawberry Fields. At one point or another I was trying to meet them all. I planned a camping trip that only a select few attended. Dryv Error was one of them. He was pretty cool back then, we use to go to his house along with Jeff (Sorry Jeff can't remember your online name) [JFZ] who lived next door. They had a bonfire just about every Friday and Saturday night. I met my best buddy cougar (Jake) at the time. Too bad he wasn't about 5 years older at the time. lol Xavier was my pal, too. Sorry Scott for anything I've done to upset you. I still think of him as my pal, but I did something really bad that hurt him. Robin, I don't remember his online name, or maybe that was his online name. We would get together and connect to each others machine late hours of the night, not telling what we were talking about. >:-) I met nation, the wonderful young thing that went on to find what she was looking for. Too bad she was too young for me, too. lol Quasar, one of my quiet buddies, he didn't talk much though. Monty, my buddy Monty, I won't go into too much detail about him, I met him when he was 15 and I still worry about him to this day. Monty, if you ever read this, get ahold of Dan and get my email address. I am curious as to what has happened in your life since I moved from there. Shadow/Nightfall (Chuck) a cool guy who was in a lot of trouble at the time and turned me onto City Club. Sorry I haven't been around there in recent years, had my heart broke by Mistress (Kristine). She was a wonderful person to meet. When I met her she kissed me. Fell in love with her from then on. I still think of the good times we had, even though it didn't last long. She thought she was being slick by having me go elsewhere when we would go to Ren Fest or to City Club, but I knew she was sneaking around to be with other women. I just thought if she wanted to go, I couldn't make her stay. Unlike her male ex Hellion (Tim) who decided to use my ear as a listening post when she left him. Same time she left me. I still have the ring she gave me and it will sit in my jewelry box as a reminder of the type of woman NOT to be with. It was with my BBS friends that I came out of the closet and told all (maybe too many) that I was bi. Now for those of you who haven't heard from me or about me in many years, I am now gay. No men are going to be in my life sexually. (Except for you Dan, one of these days I will give you your 18th birthday present. I just hope we are not too old to enjoy it). ROFL I remember Mel, she was one of my best friends and April too. I really miss you two. I lost touch with both of them.
    Found Mel again and lost her when I lost my other ICQ#. Anyone who wants the new one it is 65593492. Just put in the request as Strawberry Fields and your name at the time. Might help if you put your real name in case I dont' remember your online name. I think that was just about everyone. There are other people but they were off of Gateway. Mistress was off of Gateway, but she was cool enough to mention here. lol There was Jeff the Tall, who couldn't take a hint. He was a pretty cool guy and he helped me out a few times. I won't go into too many details so not to embarass him. He is now married (last I heard) to my Mom's best friend's friend (somehow he broke their friendship up). You still owe me a comedy show Jeff! lol Oh yeah, Vax, my little buddy Vax. I can't remember his real name right now. He was a funny little thing. He wanted to be my boyfriend in the worst way and I kept telling him that we were just friends. He must have told his little high school friends that he was dating me because some female decided to tell me off one day for leading him on. I explained to her that he and I were never dating and we were only friends. What can I say? High School politics. I made a habit of not dating anyone in high school for obvious reasons. Then we come to my favorite person of all time: Ceral Killer, Augie, he had another name and I can't remember right now. (Dan) The leader of Strawberry Fields. He is such a wonderful person. He realizes that men are scum even though he is one. He made me feel good about myself, someone who truely loved me and respected me. Not that he didn't undress me with his eyes a few times. I remember going to his family thing with him and his Uncle saying, "Do you go to school with Dan?" I wanted to fall off my seat laughing. His Uncle didn't have a clue I was 26 at the time. lol I was polite and we found a place to hide and talk. I hung out at Strawberry Fields more than anywhere. I hung out at World of Krynn but only because he had cool games on there. He use to be married to my mom's best friend but for whatever reason that ended as soon as it began. Then I hung out at Gateway the only multiline BBS that I knew of. Met plenty of people and we all hung out at City Club, I don't talk to those people much, one (Brook) decided to show all her via web cam to my boyfriend at the time (Hippie/John). She insisted her husband was there, but what she didn't know and still doesn't know (unless she reads this) is that I downloaded and printed the entire conversation before hand that stated her husband wasn't home at the time and the private conversation that the two of them had. She lied to me about doing it and then tried to make it all my fault. She needs to learn how to be friends with people and not go behind their back. They even tried to conspire to have sex in person under the ruse of getting me to join in. yeah right! I remember Echo from Gateway, he was pretty cool, but way too selfish.

Well, that pretty much sums up my BBSing days. There is a lot more, but I would need hours to go into all the details of then. I gained self esteem and a lot of really good friends who accepted me no matter what I looked like, what sex I dated, or what my views were. I really care about all those friends and hope that they all will contact me eventually, some day. Until then, kisses and hugs at you all. And to all the good parts to those who deserve it.
